Danny Go! sends a message after the death of his 14-year old son

Daniel “Danny Go!” Coleman, a children’s entertainer and YouTuber known for his high-energy music and movement videos for kids, announced the death of his 14-year old son, Isaac Daniel Coleman, on May 21, 2026.

His was born with a rare inherited disorder

According to the family, Isaac was born with Fanconi anemia, a rare inherited disorder that can affect bone marrow function and significantly increase the risk of certain cancers. Unfortunately on December 2025, the boy was diagnosed with Stage 3 mouth cancer and underwent major surgeries earlier in 2026 as doctors worked to slow the disease. As his condition worsened over the following months, Isaac entered hospice care in April, and the family shared updates about his months-long fight in the lead-up to his death.

Danny Go! Tribute on May 22nd

Isaac is survived by his parents, Daniel and Mindy Coleman, and his younger brother, Levi. Danny Go! shared an emotional tribute on Instagram on May 22, 2026, writing of his heartbreak while also expressing pride in Isaac’s strength and the way he faced his illness, and thanking supporters for their prayers and messages.

“Your 14 years were full of so many challenges, but you met them all with such grit…and you somehow kept your trademark joy in spite of it all. You truly had a spark like no other, Isaac!”, wrote Daniel Coleman on his Instagram, the day after the death of his son. “Remembering how loved you were and how full of life your time here was gives me great comfort. Being your dad was the honor of a lifetime. I’m so proud of you and I love you forever. Rest peacefully, son.”

Danny Go sends an important message to his followers

After the death of his son, the creator of Danny Go! posted an important story on his Instagram account. “For those that have asked about donations, you can give to cancer research in Isaac’s honor”, he wrote, accompanied by a link to the Faconi Cancer Foundation.

Danny Go! Cancels 2026 Tour


Earlier this year, Coleman canceled scheduled tour dates to remain with Isaac during treatment and to prioritized time at home as the family navigated hospital stays and recovery. The decision underscored the entertainer’s focus on being present as a father throughout his son’s medical crisis.

The death of his son has prompted an outpouring of condolences from fans and fellow creators. The Coleman family is mourning a profound loss, and supporters have continued to share messages of sympathy and remembrance for Isaac.

How Danny Go! started?

Before building a large online following as Danny Go!, Coleman came from a corporate and creative background that helped shape the children’s proyect.

He was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, he grew up in a supportive Christian family, graduated as a valedictorian from First Assembly High School, and earned a BSBA in Marketing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He then spent more than 13 years at Lowe’s Companies, Inc., working across roles including customer service, product marketing, senior copywriter, content strategist, and creative producer. Alongside his day job, Coleman experimented with music, comedy, and local performances, gradually honing material that connected with young audiences. In 2019, he and two childhood friends launched Danny Go! YouTube channel, centered on movement-based, music driven educational entertainment for preschoolers; Coleman later left his corporate job to pursue it full time, and the show grew rapidly to millions subscribers and billions of views.
