ViX premiered the second season of Riquísimos, por Cierto on May 15th. The News Hub had the opportunity to interview Macaria and Markín López. They talked about what we can expect in this new season and how they’ve become a true family, having worked together for several years since they were on Vecinos.
Riquísimos, por Cierto is a spin-off of Vecinos and is enjoying success. It has won the hearts of viewers with its carefree humor and endearing characters. The new installment arrives with all 15 episodes. You can watch them now on ViX.
The new season continues to explore the hilarious and chaotic lives of the López Pérez family—now settled into their extravagant world of wealth… or at least, the appearance of it.
Filmed in Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, the series stars Macaria, Daniela Perea, Moisés Suárez, Markín López, and Eduardo España, alongside a talented ensemble cast featuring Said Casab, Luis Manuel Ávila, Wendy Braga, Iker Madrid, Guadalupe Rammath, Bárbara Islas, Agustín Arana, Ricardo de Pascual, Carlos Benavides… and, of course, Don Arturo (El Burro).
In the second season, the López Pérez family is rich—very rich—but what truly matters is ensuring that everyone knows it. Determined to flaunt their fortune at any cost, the family finds themselves entangled in increasingly absurd and chaotic situations, where luxury and absurdity go hand in hand.
Amidst high-society events—such as a chaotic visit to the opera where they discover that glamour doesn’t include a concession stand—dubious investments like a “VIP savings circle” for millionaires, and vacations to exclusive beach destinations that end in disaster, the López-Pérez family attempts to prove they belong to the elite, even if they don’t always know how to behave.
The stability of their new life is also threatened by unexpected situations: the mysterious appearance of Magdalena’s alleged twin sister, who seeks to claim the family inheritance; the disappearance of Don Arturo—the donkey!—a key asset for keeping their fortune intact; and a series of mix-ups that put their wits, their family bond, and—above all—their ability to keep up appearances to the test.

Over the course of 15 episodes, the family navigates everything from domestic crises involving out-of-control robots, impossible diets, “luxury” auctions, and absurd social competitions, to confrontations befitting their new millionaire lifestyle.
With a brisk pace, hilarious situations, and the signature brand of humor that won over audiences in its first season, Riquísimos, por Cierto returns with more exaggeration, more hijinks, and more laughs than ever before. All this is accompanied by lovable characters—such as Casimiro, Cástulo, Leopoldina, Gumara, Paris, and the Notary—who add even more chaos to the story.

The show is produced by Televisa, this series features Elías Solorio as executive producer and Jorge Garza as director; together, they take the humor to the next level in this new season filled with mix-ups, excesses, and situations that spiral completely out of control.
