Tipp City Police released the footage of Caleb Flynn, an American Idol alum, sobbing and throwing up after his wife’s fatal shooting. “Is she gone?” Caleb asked an officer who’d arrived at the scene in the footage of February 16th. “Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God.”
Caleb, 39, is now facing charges of murder after police concluded there was “probable cause” to suggest that the he had actually been the one to kill his wife, Ashley Flynn, according to a police statement provided to Oxygen.com. Caleb has pled not guilty to the charges against him.
In the body cam footage, Caleb was inconsolable when the police arrived. In the video, Caleb told a female officer that his children were “still asleep” in their bedroom and unaware that their mother has been killed.

“Oh, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,” he says — before later throwing up in apparent shock at the news his wife had been shot dead. Ashley was fatally show in the head in her bed.
Police asked Caleb if he had any weapons. “I have a shotgun,” he said. “A shotgun, and a 22, and like a pellet gun. I have a handgun in my truck. In the glovebox.”
Caleb tried to call his mother in law, when he was unable to reach her, he called his own mom. “Mom, Ashley’s dead,” he told her, according to the footage. “Someone broke in. She’s dead.”
Caleb told his mom that someone “shot her” while he was with their daughters. “Oh my God,” he said through tears. “Mommy. Mommy, she’s gone. She’s gone.”

Three days later, Caleb, who was an American Idol contestant in 2013, was taken into custody and charged with murder, two counts of felonious assault and two counts of tampering with evidence, according to online court records reviewed reported by People.
He has pleaded not guilty to all charges and is being held on a $2 million bond. He has a court date scheduled for March 26.
